John Moetteli – US Patent Attorney and Former JSC NASA Engineer |
Professional Engineer, Inventor, Entrepreneur, and International Patent
Attorney-at-law, John Moetteli has enjoyed a successful and interesting
professional career.
One chapter of significance was featured on the Discovery
Channel's Invention series, sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution, in 1996,
namely, his experiences as a senior design engineer for NASA in Houston where
he was responsible for the design and development of the ORU Transfer Device,
NASA's backup to the Canadian Robotic Arm.
John now applies his talents in the practice of law, in particular, patent law,
where his thorough understanding of inventing, intellectual property law and
business enable him to counsel business managers and inventors alike, regarding
the steps necessary to protect inventions against copiers. At his law firm
Da Vinci Partners LLC,
he and his colleagues specialize in US and European Patent, Trademark, and
Copyright registrations, including licensing, infringement, invalidity, and
enforceability patent opinions involving US patents, software, methods, and
biotech patent applications, as well as patent filing strategy.
